How to Convert an HTML Table to CSV

Three steps, zero code. Paste, pick, download.

1

Provide the table

Paste the HTML source, enter a page URL, or upload a saved .html file — whichever is fastest for you.

2

Preview & pick

The parser lists every table it finds (largest first) with a live preview. Pick the one you need.

3

Download in your format

Export to CSV (UTF-8 BOM), Excel (.xlsx), JSON, or Markdown. No signup, no watermark, no row limits.

Extract Tables From Any Website

From pricing pages to SaaS dashboards — if the browser can render it, the converter can export it.

Standard HTML <table>

The classic markup — pricing pages, Wikipedia-style data tables, spec sheets

ARIA grids (div tables)

Modern apps rendering rows as divs with role="row" / role="cell"

Tables without headers

Columns are auto-named Column 1, Column 2 … and stay editable downstream

Multiple tables per page

Every table is listed with row counts; pick the exact one to export

Nested / cleaned cells

Script, style, and hidden elements are stripped so cells stay clean

Confluence & SaaS pages

Paste the page source or upload a saved .html — no export permissions needed

Export Options: CSV, Excel, JSON & Markdown

One table in, four formats out. Pick what your workflow needs.

CSV

UTF-8 with BOM — opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any data tool. The universal interchange format.

Excel (.xlsx)

Native spreadsheet with typed columns. Handles large numbers, dates, and multiple thousand rows without formatting surprises.

JSON

Array of objects keyed by column name — drop it straight into scripts, APIs, or no-code tools.

Markdown

Pipe table ready for GitHub READMEs, docs sites, and Notion. Great for embedding data in writing.

HTML Table to CSV — FAQ

How do I convert an HTML table to CSV without coding?▼

Open the free ListingHubs converter, paste the table's HTML (right-click the table → Inspect → copy the element's outerHTML), and click Download CSV. No Python, no Excel macros, no signup. The parser recognizes standard <table> markup as well as modern div-based ARIA grids, so it works on most websites out of the box.

Can I export an HTML table to Excel?▼

Yes. Next to the CSV button, click Download Excel to get a ready-to-open .xlsx file. CSV exports include a UTF-8 BOM so they also open cleanly in Excel with correct encoding — no garbled characters, no import wizard.

How do I convert an HTML table to Markdown?▼

Click Download Markdown after the table is detected. The output is a standard pipe table with a separator row that you can paste directly into GitHub READMEs, Notion, docs sites, or any Markdown editor.

Does it work with tables built with divs instead of <table>?▼

Yes. Many modern web apps (analytics dashboards, keyword tools, SaaS tables) render tables as div elements with ARIA roles. The converter detects role="row", role="columnheader", role="cell", and role="gridcell" structures and exports them exactly like native HTML tables.

How do I extract a table from a Confluence page?▼

Confluence tables are standard HTML tables. Either paste the page source into the paste mode, or save the page as .html (Ctrl+S / Cmd+S) and upload the file. Both ways capture the table without Confluence export permissions.

Why does my export only include some rows?▼

If the website uses virtual scrolling — rendering rows only as you scroll — any tool can capture just the rows the browser has actually loaded. Scroll through the full table first, then export. This is a browser limitation, not a converter bug; we state it openly rather than shipping silent partial exports.

Is my data uploaded to a server?▼

No. Paste mode and file upload parse entirely in your browser — the HTML never leaves your machine. URL mode fetches the page through our server once to bypass CORS, but nothing is stored and no account is needed. The Chrome extension also runs 100% locally.

What's the difference between the CSV and Excel export?▼

CSV is plain text: universal, tiny, and readable by every tool, but a single sheet with no formatting. Excel (.xlsx) keeps column types, opens directly in Excel or Google Sheets, and handles very long numbers without scientific notation. If you plan to edit the data, take the .xlsx; if you feed it into another tool, take the CSV.
